Tile: Answer To Job

Author: C G Jung

Subject: Religion, Christianity

Is it strange that the second book that is stiking in Quase's mind is also about Christianity? In this book, the author, renowned psychlogist Carl Gustav Jung, protege of Sigmund Freud, investigates the story of the Book of Job in an altogether novel way. He comes to the conclusion that due to the treatment God bestowed upon his loyal subject Job, it became necessary for Him (God) to come to earth clothed in the body of Jesus Christ and suffer the humiliation and death of the earthly body depicted in the new testament. What is interesting about Jung's conclusion, is that God in essence by his unfair treatement of Job created for himself some type of karma that needed to be worked out. Jung who was no atheist* gives a thoughtful and revealing treatment to the subjet of Job, an especially difficult book for fair minded people to understand.

Quase recommends this book highly. It is safe reading and will alter your perspective without creating too much psychic damage.

* Quote: "I could not say I believe— I know! I have had the experience of being gripped by something that is stronger than myself, something that people call God." (In a film, when asked if he believed that God exists.) Carl Gustav Jung
